Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account: your email address, used only to send sign-in codes, and an account ID. You only need an account to save words.
• Saved words: the words you save, linked to your account so they sync across your devices.
• Missing-word searches: when a search finds no word, we record the searched word, without any link to you, to decide which words to add next.
• Website analytics: words.noelorona.com uses Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views in aggregate without cookies. The app has no analytics.

What we don't do

No ads, no tracking across other apps or websites, and we never sell or share your data for marketing.

Service providers

Supabase stores the database and handles sign-in. Vercel hosts the website. Resend sends sign-in emails. They process data only to provide these services.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your email address and saved words while your account exists. To delete them, open the app, go to Saved, tap the account menu, and choose Delete account. Your account and saved words are deleted immediately. You can also email us and we'll delete them for you.

Children

Etymology is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
